The Selection Special Operations Experiment (History Channel)
Hotel Impossible
The Great Human Race was a good series

Re: TrueVisions to stop showing HBO, Cinemax

Now, TrueVisions is going to be even more boring and worthless. Sad.
Oh Well, everyone can just watch pre-recorded programs of the Generalissimo 24/7.

Re: Children day air show tragedy, Hat Yai

It looks to me like the pilot didn't realise how close he was to the ground and just rolled the aircraft right into the ground.
He was killed instantly for sure, that was a bad crash.

The comedic entertainment in Thailand is great, I love it and it's free. In the U.S. you would have to pay money for this kind of comedy.

I think 'Korean' is the language spoken in North Korea, I don't think 'North Korean' is an actual language.

Re: Setting a property sales price

QUOTE: It all just boils down to money and greed in Real Estate in my opinion. 1. This is painting everyone with the same brush and is completely unfair and false. I have honestly sold houses for ZERO commission for clients because they didn't have enough equity. I would tell house flippers if I wa...

Re: Setting a property sales price

I feel the need to offer my 2 cents. Real Estate is very different here then most of our home countries. I am about to join a firm here and I have 20 years LICENSED EXPERIENCE back home. You are right there is no experience necessary to become a "Consultant" here. There is no Real Estate ...

Re: Why do many expats not bother to learn to read?

I agree NT, and the OP should remind himself that it is not our duty to learn how to read street signs written in Thai, it is Thailand's duty to learn English and provide English signage.  :? Last time I checked almost all of the street signs in Thailand are written in English.

Re: Why do many expats not bother to learn to read?

Pointless to discuss this seen as the sloth will not expand on the original meaningless post what needs expanding? grown men can't read traffic signs. personally, I would find that humiliating. but this thread show it's not beyond these same illiterates to rationalise it away by arguing that their ...

Re: Starbucks Coffee Shops

LOL - so which category do you fall into? Seriously, I went in once, quite a few years ago (before Market Village) to get out of the rain. I was soooo shocked at the price of a cup of coffee in Thailand that I vowed never to go in again (I seem to remember it was about the cost of 3 beers at the ti...

Starbucks Coffee Shops

Why are Starbucks Coffee Shops such a popular hangout joint for every Lo-so misfit degenerate farang in Thailand? Yesterday I see some 70 looking ' BOEING ' t-shirt wearing farang intimately holding hands with his 20 year old Thai girlfriend/wife in Starbucks or you see some farangs that spend four ...

Re: Getting Tough on Motorcyclists?

I agree that better law enforcement would go a long way in making the roads safer here, but I don't think enforcement is as easy as we would like to believe. In the West, we are brought up being taught that we need to obey the law, so really, law enforcement officials have a very easy job for the m...

Re: Water under Toilet

The apartment maintenance workers came by to fix the toilet the other day and the only thing that he did was put some caulking or maybe it was tile grout around the base of the toilet and in between a couple of the floor tiles with his finger but it seems to have stopped the leak. It is not a big le...
