Re: Land Fill and Boundary Fence

We had three loads of soil delivered recently, cost us B 1,000 per load guessing that the loads were about 12 cubic metres IF they fully loaded. Make sure you watch them with their load volumes as sure as hell they will try ripping you off. The driver said that prices start at about B 600 per load o...

Re: Tourists warned of jellyfish on Trang, Krabi beaches

wow Pete,
based on those concentrations of jelly fish per square metre a swimmer would have no chance but to be stung you would think.
Always amazes me as to why we never hear of local fishermen being seriously stung/killed by these critters when you see so many of them in the water with their nets.

Re: Charting the skies

JJB I regularly get lectured by a water engineering mate about any of these systems including the domestic ones. He says filtration systems can filter off the baddies and the accumulated nasty stuff can, for a whole bunch of reasons be suddenly released all in one hit delivering a pretty toxic brew ...

Re: Blue marron

Honestly I cannot see what all the fuss is about with marron, or yabbies for that matter. Give me a good old Mandurah blue swimmer crab plus a decent cold beer and I would be more than happy any day.

Re: Leaky windows

If you examine the moving sections of the doors and windows you should see channels with "fur seals" fitted in them (kinda fluffy grey stuff). Look at the faces that rub against the frame tracks and each other.I found the night critters were coming in thru the unsealed sections of our windows. Bough...

Window louvre frames

Hi all,
Got any suggestions where one may find decent quality anodized aluminum weather sealed winder or lever window louvre frames?
For safety reasons need to carry 6mm glass blades.
Also I need the blades to have nice ground edges too.

Re: Poop Lorries - where does it go?

We were pulled up on the side of a canal in a quiet soi in Petchburi for a lunch break couple years ago and I strolled over to watch a blue tanker with hose out down the embankment. The driver looked pretty uncomfortable with us around and said he was taking on water . But it was pretty obvious by t...
