Re: Wire Mesh Fluorescent Light Guard

if it they can be found in Holland at a reasonable price I'd be happy to bring them over for you next month but I only know the ones Nereus refers to which is like a metal lamp housing with a polycarbonate cover, like the one in this link https://www.lampdirect.nl/philips-tcw060-1x-tl-d-58w-hf I hav...

Re: Sportsmanship.

I'd hate to go back in time. I'd be disappointed that things weren't as I imagined them. The memory of what never was, is called the "good old days." totally agree, plus we all have a bit of a habit of reminiscing positively about the nice/better things in the past while blocking out or forgetting ...

Re: New pedestrian overpass for Market Village

If you use the next bridge, the one by the entrance to the Catholic school, don't pay too much attention to the riser height of the steps as you'll then knock your head on a concrete beam! At 5 foot 2 hitting my head is not something that ever happens to me, till I used the pedestrian overpass at B...

Re: nonstick cooking spray

I got my wife off the frying in oil kick by purchasing a hot air fryer. Now she just uses a small pump spray bottle. We cook a lot of things in it. same here, an air fryer for most things, and a pump bottle with olive oil for the things that must be fried in oil and we use a tiny fraction of the oi...

Re: Sportsmanship.

I saw footage of this on BBC Breakfast this morning, what I found shocking was not that the other runner didn't stop to help, I was astounded that there were about 8 members of the public just standing there looking at him, not even attempting to help the fallen runner. I don't blame the other runne...

Re: nonstick cooking spray

I just use a spray bottle that my hairspray comes in, any spray (pump) bottle will do... rinse it out well, leave it to dry, then fill it from my big bottle of olive oil. And you do use LOADS less oil this way

Re: shade sails (where to buy?)

I bought one new and paid 140k baht from castaway... Ended up breaking my cement fence from the wind on 3 supports. Worst decision ever. Ended up having cement pillars and a proper roof built for 30k baht finished in two weeks. Good luck 140k baht, for a shade sail ??????   no...

Re: shade sails (where to buy?)

some helpful person PMed me, it appears that this Darren guy (from Castashadow) has gone back to Australia and the soi 112 branch has closed down, though the mother company has taken over the Hua Hin branch, I am assuming at 146/52 Petchkasem Road I will go to Hua Hin Awnings as that's nice and easy...

Re: shade sails (where to buy?)

These guys are good as well, at the other end of Hua Hin, near Soi6. http://www.huahinawning.com/en/ that's brilliant, thanks. Found them in one go on google street view :-) canal road towards cha-am, past soi 6, next to Roses Hotel, lots of awnings and shadey parasol-y things out front. Thank you....
