Re: Desford Colliery Band World Tour with photos and videos

My husband & went along as well and were so happy we did. The band really are excellent. Had a lump in my throat at "somewhere over the rainbow".

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu

Your posts reads and sounds like a thinly veiled business advertisement. Then there must be 2 of us working in cohorts as it was an earlier poster who recommended it to me. Really, get a grip or report me to the moderators. :| And Ginjaninja, I am a wee bit worried with the road. But good to hear p...

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu

Must be my "lucky" day. Lucky Curtain is just across the road from where we're staying. We're staying in the Mykonos Condo, and I just "walked" with google earth from the curtain place to the condo. Can't be more than a few hundred meters. :sun: :sun: :sun:

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu

You two are great, a massive thanks. I'm always on the lookout for nice fabrics, and the curtain place will be a sure stop for me too. I can make my own curtains, but the last time I got curtains made in Bangkok, well to be honest, I could hardly buy the thread for the price they took to make them. ...

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu

Ok Global House in Pranburi has gone on my to-do list. The "browsabilty" thing swung it for me. The one thing I am not keen on in Thailand while shopping is the constant "over-helpfulness" of the sales staff. If this store is more laidback then it's definitely for me. Thanks BB, browsing in relative...

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu

thanks everyone. Have plenty now to keep me busy! I probably will give the outlet shopping a miss. I have a feeling my legs wont carry me much further after a "stroll" around Thai Watsadu. Index & Boonthavorn are EXACTLY what I am looking for, judging by their websites that is. Will definitely do th...

Re: HomePro / Thai Watsadu

many thanks BigBoy, will go to google-earth to get my bearings for Global House & Boonthavern. When I do the Thai Watsadu one, is there anything in that part of Cha-am worth combining it with? If you get what I mean, kill two birds with one stone kinda thing. Like the outlet shopping at Cha-Am, is t...

HomePro / Thai Watsadu

Probably not the most typical tourist question, but here goes  We'll be coming to HH next month for 3 weeks. Will be our first visit to HH, but have been to Thailand many times. I always love a stroll around HomePro and manage to find home decor nick-nacks that I can't get at home. Am I right ...

Re: Washer Dryer Combos

Had one at home (Indesit) and got rid of it within 2 years as it took AGES to dry the clothes. Also, you couldn't just wash a load then dry it. If you see what I mean. Say the max wash load was 5 kilos. The max drying load was less (say 3 kilos). That meant every wash had to be split into 2 loads fo...

Re: Tsunami 12 years on, 400 bodies unidentified in Thailand

Earlier this year, February and March, we were staying in a (big, renowned, well managed, 5 star) Khao Lak hotel. Bearing in mind that Khao Lak was the hardest hit place in Thailand in the 2004 tsunami the following made me laugh or made me cry or made me think TIT. While we were asleep a letter got...

I didn't know that. Can definitely make use of it. Thanks

Re: Emirates flight charges to BKK

as well as London, Manchester, Newcastle options it might be worth considering Emirates flights from Amsterdam. It's easy and cheap to get to from Glasgow and EK has two A380 flights departing from AMS daily. Dusseldorf also has two EK flights daily, but no idea if that's easily (and cheaply) access...

I hate

OF instead of HAVE
OF instead of 'VE

I could of won that game
I should of won that game

People don't just write it wrong, they say it wrong too. Not sure why it annoys me so much, but it does.
