Re: Hua Hin Pitbull & Bully Meeting

Please go up to owners who have not cropped their dogs' ears and shake their hand, letting them know why you are doing it.

Re: The Beer Thread

Pete, do you think beer goes stale more quickly in can or bottle? The taste is different anyway, I know. And beer in cans probably suffers worse temperature variations in shipping, or maybe I'm talking rubbish there?

Re: Thailand fuel/pump prices

But also crude oil is at it's highest price since late 2014. It's easy to blame everything on a heavy-handed government or a non-competing oligopoly.

Re: The Beer Thread

Getting back to our local brew. My local wholesaler ran out of my preferred Archa so I was drinking Chang last week. I felt awful: tired, aching legs, and a little bit woosy during the day. I put it down to dehydration, but my colleague said that he felt the same. He bought some Changs from the loc...

Re: Treatment for arthritis/rheumatoid arthritis in HH?

I have no idea if the cartilage is re-growing, how can one tell? All I know is that within a few days of first treatment things were getting better, it took a few weeks before I could walk unaided. Now after 3 months I have no problems at all, still on the meds for another three months. In 2006 I h...

I certainly accept that caller was not insulting me (apart from calling me preachy, no worry), as he didn't understand the full meaning of the word
Boy are you dim. Frontal lobotomy?
Alright enough with the insults now. Getting childish.

Re: The Beer Thread

^ I've tried almost all the Rogue ales and beers produced starting back in the 80's and most are really good. Very surprised to hear that they are a Makro. Makro usually have a very small selection of different craft beers, but I can't say whether they keep the same brands from month to month. Does...

Re: Treatment for arthritis/rheumatoid arthritis in HH?

In early February I had atrocious pain in my left knee and after 2 days had to see a doctor, I was overseas at the time. I was quickly diagnosed with Septic Arthritis and it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life. The doc quickly took a blood sample, tested it and confirmed w...

Re: Usual cheating at the till, Big C Hua Hin

Anyway, I have finished now. This thread has developed an interesting tangent. How many different ways can you say "I will no longer participate in this conversation"? Yes, I had finished talking with caller. I'd forgotten about the bandwagon! Of course I can play whack-a-mole all day and all night...

Checked today, sunday 1:30 pm Market Village to Cha-Am. 410 Baht, reported by the App.
I took a ride on the bus.
I'm sure a little old lady taxi would not be cheaper than 400 either for Cha-Am proper. Not an outrageous price.

Re: Grab Coming to Hua Hin

Grab is changing the rates very drastically dependant on the demand and the time of the day Yep that's the business model in all countries they operate in, Uber the same. In UAE if it's early evening or Friday brunch time, you can expect up to maybe 1.5 - 2 x normal fare with Uber or Careem (the UA...
