Re: BBC journalist faces five years in jail for reporting Thai fraud

Similar to what, exactly? Let's stick to the subject of this thread, which is not the morality of the press in general, but a specific case and a specific journalist. Are you saying journalists should not investigate and expose corruption, and are you applauding the Thai government for trying to pr...

Good. I have and I have very strong feelings about it. I also knew several that lost their lives because of similar actions by the media.

They only care about notariety and money. No morals at all.

Re: BBC journalist faces five years in jail for reporting Thai fraud

I remember when they had morals and only stated an opinion after they told yo...

Re: Thailand a bright spot for regional education

You can teach until your brain rots but if the student doesn't want to learn it's all for nil. That's the caveat here, and I believe it's referred to as intrinsic and extrinsic motivation (intrinsic means from within and extrinsic from outside). In a nutshell, the intrinsically motivated student is...

Re: Nescafe

I visited the UK Nescafe website and it seems there are many unhappy people who have now switched brands. Since I was feeling a little bored at the time, I decided to write a short customer review for their website, to inform them and other how terrible their new recipe is. I was shocked when I got...

Re: Jalapeños at Villa Market!

No. Fesh. I don't eat pickled Jalepenos. Very few restaurants where I've lived used fresh jalepenos, and then only a slice as a garnish. Several reasons why. It's far faster to open a can then to remove the seeds and ribs from a jalepeno. Cutting hot peppers puts you at risk for a squirt of capsaic...

Re: Jalapeños at Villa Market!

Most Americans wouldn't recognise a fresh japaleno (or real cheese for that matter). I would not want a raw unpickled pepper in my burger, dog, nachos, etc. I'll try to get to Market Village before they're gone. "most"? every American that I know, and that's a lot, knows what real cheese and jalape...

Huh? They're pickled aren't they? They pretty much last forever so long as they're kept in the fridge. I got mine from Villa Market about 6 months ago and they still seem fine...
