Well they survived in Hua Hin for many years. More than ten years I'm sure.

Re: Engineering and Technology Thread

As a person that drove those giant trucks when I graduated high school, this sucks. Driving something as big as a house is a huge kick for a young person.

Unlike the main office the Bluport one has a tablet computer feedback questionnaire on each desk. One of the questions is did the officer ask for any bribe. So, they are only handling the very basic stuff.
I've never been asked for offered a bribe at the main office.

Re: Rip off laundry

My rule of thumb. When a person with a sour attitude is the one dealing with customers, walk away.

Doesn't matter if its Thailand or any other country.

Re: Opening a Thai bank account

If you need to do business outside Thailand using a debit card, stay away from bangkok bank. They do not have a visa debit card. I'm with BKK Bank and my debit card (visa) works fine in other countries. Be very careful with it at the ATM. I the machine eats it, it will be replaced with Unionpay whi...

Re: Australian man dead after brutal bar attack in Pattaya

LOL I think they mean a 'sucker punch'. Too hard and with no warning (the receiver probably was not even looking, hence cowardly to attack them). One of the most dangerous types of punch because the recipient has no chance to move/roll with it or prepare in any way, hits you stone cold. Best way to...

Why don't the embassies simply tell all travelers "break the law in another country and you're S.O.L."

Re: Human fetuses found among household garbage in Hua Hin

This is what the anti-abortion movement in the US wants to go back to.

That and women bleeding to death because someone used a coat hanger to do an illegal abortion.
