I admire your optimism :D but it should be doable indeed.

I can see a tunnel being just the right solution . . . in the rainy season.

Re: Driving: why Thai’s “back in”?

When was this - BC or AD :D  ? Not part of my test 35 odd years ago and not part of tests my nephew has taken - for that matter, the LHG had to take one when she came to the UK as her Chinese license wasn't accepted (long term). That was back in the 60's. Admittedly I took my basic driving te...

Re: Wheel Clamps Near Baan Khun Por

I saw that too, but thought it might be the car owner's security. But then I remembered where I was . . .
That said, it wasn't a very robust clamp.

I have a collection of such photos - but the best for me was in a menu which described a green curry as including 'baby aborigines'.

Re: An odd 90 day report - thoughts anyone?

I drove out to Immigration this Tuesday for a re-entry permit and was surprised to get a bonus in the shape of my 90 day report extended by six weeks or so. No questions, no arguments!

Re: Flying to/from Thailand, latest updates

I have a question concerning returning to Thailand, if I may. My situation is that I am in Thailand, retired on a valid Non-O extension to my visa and am looking at a visit to Australia in July. Once I have flights booked I will get a re-entry permit, as normal. I have health insurance, but not with...

Re: Booster Vaccines - Covid 19

Busy this morning at Bluport. Everything moving slowly but the ladies marshaling everyone are doing a good job. A large school group arrived not long ago, surprised they have not arranged school visits. Better getting it now before the holidays hit. How long time do I approximately have to set asid...

Can any of you gold experts recommend a place that custom make gold jewellery? The LHG wants some silver ear rings copying in gold.

Re: VPN Recommendations

I am using Express VPN. Last night I could not watch the Rochdale vs Plymouth Argyle match live. I just assumed the match had been pulled. This morning, I've tried to watch ITV Live and get the 'Prpgramme not available on this platform' message. Is anybody else experiencing the same problem please?...

Re: Warm Clothing

Have a look in the basement at Market Village as well, there is a little shop between the food court and the sports shop. I bought a North Face-type of lightweight, soft shell jacket in there for a summer visit to England* and it was excellent quality and well-priced. * Obviously I was expecting a c...

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc

As stated on another thread I don't understand all the problems people seem to have at the immigration office. Likewise. I think if you look presentable and are polite and don't blow a gasket, you will sail through the process. Ta very much for the post. A useful reminder. Likewise, I sailed throug...
