Re: Hua Hin to Prachuab Khiri Khan by train
Denis 72, would renting a car for a day or two be an option for you? HH to PKK and surrounding area is really easy to do. Certainly in the day time. Google maps works a treat. I am not comfortable with driving on the left side of the road, I've tried a few times already. I spent too many years on t...

Re: Hua Hin to Prachuab Khiri Khan by train
1,000 B for a room which is not luxurious at all is expensive I'd love to know where you've found a luxurious room for 1k bht! :D When I read a comment '1,000 B for a room which is not luxurious at all', I understand '1,000 B for a shabby dirty room, no aircon, no fridge, bedbugs etc.". I can ...

Re: Hua Hin to Prachuab Khiri Khan by train
Don't take this the wrong way, because I really like Prachuap, but life is almost non-existent. It is such a sleepy hollow. denis72, I'm not sure if you know the geography, but I'd be surprised if Dan Singkorn was anywhere near the mini-van routes. You could also have a problem getting back to Prac...

Re: Hua Hin to Prachuab Khiri Khan by train
Burmese market sounds interesting, I couldn't buy what I wanted when I went to Myanmar. I am not into climbing and monkeys. 1,000 B for a room which is not luxurious at all is expensive but I've never been to PKK so maybe it's the best deal in town. Looks like I should go to burmese market in Dan Si...

Hua Hin to Prachuab Khiri Khan by train
Hi, I am planning a train journey from Hua Hin to Prachuab Khiri Khan in Novembre. I just want to spend a few hours there then back to Hua Hin by train (or minivan if no train available on late afternoon). According to Google, the first train leaving Hua Hin is at 11:23 ? Which surely means 12:33 :D...

Re: Tanawit Hotel vs Tanawit House
I sent an email 2 days ago to Tanawit Hotel and Tanawit House to ask if it's the same management and where is Tanawit House. No answer, as usual with many thai hotels.

Good to know, thanks. I've crossed Chinese tours a few times in Thailand. They are noisy indeed.

Tanawit Hotel vs Tanawit House
Hi there,
I spent a few nights at the Tanawit Hotel in 2014. When trying to book again today, I discovered there is also a Tanawit House next door at half price. Anyone knows the difference between the 2 ? About Tanawit Hotel, is there another entrance to avoid the walk of shame late at night ?

Re: Kan Air starting new route between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai
Dennis, I did the flight a couple of weeks ago, and it was probably the best (cattle class) service I've ever used. I am not aware of cancellations, and it is a fairly well supported service. I booked initially online, but something went wrong with payment. I tried to resolve the problem by e-mail ...
