Re: El Toro Loco R.I.P??

Yes, it’s true… El Toro Loco needs to move to another location. The ”cleaning up” in central town (live music bars, restaurants, etc) has now come to soi Bintabaht. When all the paper works and permission of the new location is settled, I will let you know where to find ”the new” El Toro Loco. WE WI...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

Slightly off the subject of Poon Suk, but does anyone know what is happening to 'Harbour 55' the development between what was the "Sangthai Restaurant" and the renovated fishing pier opposite 'Buffalo Bills' looks like there has been no ongoing construction there for months. Maybe another half compl...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

I have received the following as a message, and it makes some valid points....... While all the focus is on the mess left behind once the r/rants have been 'cleared' on Poolsuk..maybe someone at the HH Amphur needs informing about the coils of loose electric cables strewn/left across the footpath o...

Re: Power fluctuations - electric supply

I agree Nereus It’s a water pump, not an engine from the space shuttle! Lets look at the pump specification on the brochure provided on several links on this thread: The WM-P150XS has a designed capacity of 37 (Max 50) L/min. Total discharge head pressure of: 13(M) The brochure estimates a normal ta...

Re: ILIKE HD TV a.k.a. HDPrime

Not "gloating" or "pleasuring myself on other people's misfortune" as I have been a keen user of Thaiexpattv, iLikeHDtv and lately HDprime. I thought I was just stating the obvious, HDprime TV stated themselves that their Facebook Page had been taken off line, they cannot accept major credit card pa...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

Heard from Bar owners around the area after a meeting they had with the municipal, that the area was going to used for locating small mobile food stalls, that would be erected during the day and removed at night.

Re: Power fluctuations - electric supply

'Name Taken' sure the guy that solves your problem deserves a few beers. So the pump you have is like the one shown in the video attached yes? It has no tank attached to the pump body but a pre-charged Nitrogen filled accumulator (the thing the guys are changing), sorry the video is in Thai but the ...

Re: Power fluctuations - electric supply

The system you have described seems pretty normal with the type pump you identified. One other thing that could be a possible cause of your problems is a faulty non-return valve (if fitted). Some household water supply systems are installed here with a second supply line to the house direct from the...

Re: Demolition of restaurants + shops in Poon Suk road

The wooden temple in the photograph was only built in the last year, the restaurants and shops had been there a lot longer, to tell you the truth I go past this area quite a lot and never see anybody in or around either this or the older brick temple further do the road. I assume the shops and resta...

Re: Demolition of buildings on the railway road

It might be a 'great loss' for the Thai's that own and visit the many different shops, small local food places, and bars that run along the road. I would rather see them there than a car park or another botched up area of land, like the one has been left behind after the demolition of the places on ...
