Look for a part number / model number on the remote and serch specifically for that. Aliexpress has been a good source for AC remotes for me in the past.404cameljockey wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 12:51 pm
I guess I'll have to use a Hitachi approved shop in Thailand and see if they can help.

Re: Thailand's increasing intolerance of alcohol
Maybe should rewrite the topic title to "increasing intorerance of everything." Whole of Asia is heading down this route. Care to elaborate, Spitfire - the whole of Asia?? - that's a big part of the world, where's the evidence please? Certainly no problems getting a drink in Vietnam that ...

Re: Travel in Siem Reap, Cambodia
Great place! Make sure you hit the Angkor complex early in the morning to avoid the tour bus rush. Organise a Tuk Tuk or three days, and make sure you're at Angkor Wat for sunrise and head off from there. Pub street in the evening to relax. Hit up the Foreign Correspondents Club if you feel like flas...

Video: Nopparat Thara Pier to Railay East (Krabi, Thailand)July 2014
Another in my series of 'poorly produced and badly edited videos of nothing interesting in particular'. This time, a quick trip on the ferry from Nopparathara Pier to Railay (Krabi). Paul Weller fans might enjoy this one more than the previous videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkXWLK1fOjQ https...

Video: Saigon to Vung Tau Vietnam on an old Russian Hydrofoil
Once again, another poorly produced and badly edited video of nothing interesting in particular. This time catching the old Russian hydrofoil from Saigon to Vung Tau in Vietnam in July 2015. It's an interesting trip through the big ships moored around Saigon then down the Mekong Delta to Vung Tau. K...

It's amazing the hours you can fill up with a capable motorcycle, a GPS and a good camera. I also have a Ham Radio licence - google "summits on the air" if you want to see an interesting way of combining motorcycle trips and Ham Radio. Video some of that stuff and set up a youtube channel ...

Re: **Video** A quick twilight lap around Koh Samet
Thanks guys. The video was shot on an Ion Air Pro Camera (Similar to Go Pro). I use Linux Mint instead of Windows, and did the edit using a free Linux program called 'Openshot'. Very easy to use and gives pretty good results Same software used for this little look at Krabi https://www.youtube.com/wa...

Video: A quick twilight lap around Koh Samet
A little video I put together of a speedboat trip around Koh Samet in 2013.
Hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did doing it.

Re: Trip report: A glimpse into Cambodia
Passed through Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in September 2013. Great little country and an amazing place to visit - loving your report so far! Make sure you hit the FCC for a beer or two at dusk on the balcony. I had no hassles flying into Phnom Penh and then walking out of Cambodia at the Poipet/Aranya...

Re: Mounts for mounting cameras in cars.
Probably overkill for just general driving around, but I use a ram suction mount on the passenger side window, and a long RAM extension mount, and then ION Air Pro cameras. Bear in mind that the car is very stiffly sprung and there is a little buzz here and there in this example. Camera is waterproo...
