Very good - looks like I'll be contributing to many different economies if/when paying out losing golf side bets! I'm a little surprised that there's not more Aussie tourists (FIFO workers I totally understand), as HH is being featured more regularly in the local golf scene as a standout destination...

I've always found the water and ice in the tourist parts of Thailand to be fine. I would be much more concerned if you were in a completely rural area.

I'll be in HH for a couple of weeks in early July and didn't see any recent posts about tour companies. Would you recommend using a company like "Golf Holidays Hua Hin" to organise my rounds and transport, or doing it myself and catching taxis. I'm assuming the tour companies would also kn...

May I ask if there's a predominant nationality of the European tourists in Hua Hin (e.g. some areas of Thailand appear to be popular with Brits, others with Swedes, etc). Neither hear nor there really, just wondering who I might find out on the golf courses.

Thank you - we'll definitely have to explore Soi 112 and then take a taxi or tuk tuk further afield I expect.

Our family is coming to HH in a few weeks and I've found this forum to be a wonderfully rich source of advice.

In looking through all of the recommendations, I don't see to many restaurants around Soi 114. Does anyone have any recommendations for Thai cuisine in the area?
