Re: Charging for plastic bags in Thailand?

In my opinion, Thais are excellent at recycling and reusing. Not much goes to waste here if you think about it. Anything which can be salvaged or reused is soon claimed, but the problem lies in the rubbish which cannot be reused, such as plastic bags, and the fact that most Thais don't see litter in...

Re: Thai women second fattest in Asia

I'm not at all surprised. The spend half the day sitting and eating. I also don't believe it has anything to do with western fast food outlets.I knows scores of overweight Thais, and not one of them are frequent customers of BK, McD, KFC, and etc. Most Thai street food is as fattening as any wester...

Re: Snakes in the house and garden

Not in the garden, although the snake must have been milked beforehand giving a dry bite, as the guy got a bite on his neck and leg though the video is well worth watching :) (Mod Edit: Video will not copy. See original above) I think you will find that the snake has had its poison glands removed. ...

Re: Chiropractor Hua Hin

Thanks for that will try Bangkok hospital You obviously have a lot of money to throw away. A MRI scan at HH Hospital is no different to a MRI scan at BK Hospital, other than the fact that HH Hospital will be a fraction of the price, and if you are willing to pay an extra 200 baht, then you can get ...

Re: Thais rank low again at English

Most members of this forum live in Thailand, many are also married to a Thai woman. Who speaks Thai? Yes it’s very easy to criticise Thais in general, with their ability to speak English (or lack thereof), but I’m certain that it’s still a lot better than the % of English speakers who can speak Tha...

Well, VS, this comes as a surprise. I have always been under the impression that you and Mr. VS were to be anchored in LOS for life.

Anyway, I'm sure you both have good reason for leaving, and I wish you both all of the best.

Re: Dutchman arrested in Hua Hin for alleged child sex abuse

From what I see in the newspaper, the parents sold a 10 year old boy for sex. The article says that he is being charged for separating the child from his parents for paid molestation. The way I see it is he is being charged for separating the child from his parents by offering the pay money to the ...

Re: Dutchman arrested in Hua Hin for alleged child sex abuse

I remember when I used to drink in the city at night time where I live and you'd see the Thai guys picking up their girlfriends from the soapy massage parlour across the street at closing time from the watering hole which was open late. Always wondered how they must feel picking them up with their ...

Re: Keeping small outdoor fish bowl clean

As title suggests liking for tips to keep fish bowl clean. It's the Thai style type that's like a large plant pot with guppies in it. I just changed the water and removed the dead lotus plant, now it only has small white pebbles at the bottom (added today for first time) and a small clay plant plot...
