Re: What's Happened To The Water Supply in Hua Hin?

Well, Mr whoever would look like a right numpty if he arrive to take samples here were we stay in Soi 6 because on most days he would need to use bottled water from 7/11for his samples considering that we do and always have only got water on random occasions. We're always being told it will improve,...

Re: Prostate Medicine

As an added bonus, Saw Palmetto is dead easy to grow in your garden as long as it is not in full sun. Quite a common ingredient in Isaan food.

Re: Govt crackdown on Airbnb, declares bookings illegal

Okay, if a husband and wife are coming on holiday with their three kids, aged 5, 7 and 9, what are their options as far as hotel accommodation is concerned? Do they all cram into one large room, where Mom and Dad are then unable to share any "romantic" moments, or do they rent two rooms which essent...

Re: Govt crackdown on Airbnb, declares bookings illegal

Personally, I think AirBnB is great, and especially for families with children, and/or those who prefer more of a home-stay experience. I'm sure you can find "party houses" on the site, but from what I have seen, the vast majority of owners stipulate "No Events" in their terms and conditions. Rather...

Re: Any vegetarian restaurants in Hua Hin?

At the crossroad near the day market in town where the Baht buses leave, great food to eat in or take away at 25 baht per dish. Been eating there for 15 years and always tasted great. Once found a Caterpillar in my krapow though . Am I missing something here? Since when krapow a vegan dish? Even if...

Well, from the picture posted, it looks like a good breakfast for only 135 baht, but to be honest, I think the chef could improve on their scrambled egg making skills. :D

What is this nonsense comment MDMK ?, my comments are not for simple minds. I think your English language skills are pretty basic, so since you didn't seem to get my last comment I will ask it again in even more simple terms Why is it that no matter what little bit of justified criticism is directe...

Well, growing up as a kid, I was taught that theft is theft, end of story. I can't actually recall ever being given the wrong amount of change in Thailand, other than at a few Mom and Pop shops. Of course, it is always an innocent mistake, but it does intrigue me as to how these innocent mistakes ne...

Congratulations to all those Sherlock Holmes, thanks to your bla...bla.., you will solve the mystery. Did you even bother read the article or have someone read it for you? There is and was never any mystery, so I have no idea what you are talking about. We already know what happened. A Portuguese t...

Re: Hotel key card leads to identity of foreigner washed up on Hua Hin beach

I'm sure the Thairath journalists would have queried this immediately. Actually very sad that a country which likes to promote itself as a world-class tourist destination actually doesn't give a damn about tourists other than when they are put under the spotlight. A shark nibbles on some g...

Re: Where to buy a safe in Hua Hin?

I think the first question you need to ask is, who do you want to keep your valuable safe from. Are you concerned about members who live in your home, and/or visitors, or are you concerned about being burgled? If it the latter, then the small safes which many local places sell are pretty much pointl...

Re: New House without a pool?

I personally would never consider buying a place with a pool. I have lived in several properties during my life which had pools, and they are just too much hassle. The ones in Thailand are even a bigger hassle because you have to physically brush and vacuum whereas in SA you don't have to. I should ...

Re: I Lert U - Thai police emergency app

Seems like it might be a good idea, but the sign for the ambulance option looks to me as if it may be a link to Bangkok Hospital, in which case I would certainly not want to use if for myself. I'd much rather be picked up and taken to Hua-Hin hospital where doctors are more concerned about your heal...
