Trying to re-capture your youth?
We seem to have acquired a fleet of scooters over the years and the Zoomer mainly gets used by the stepson when he's here, although I have been to 7/11 on it a few times!

Re: Freak motorcycle occurrence, or a regular happening?

We've got a Honda Zoomer and it hasn't got a chain so that must have been something else. On bikes that do have chains, kids remove the covers so that you can see the blinged up chains that they have often fitted!

Re: All car passengers now required to buckle up

I always remember in the UK, the seatbelt alarm sounded based on a person in the seat. If I was to put the shopping on the front passenger seat, then I had to put the belt on to stop the annoying alarm! All the cars that we use in my job at an airport obviously have these alarms for seat belts. Bec...

Fake news, fake news.
Quite possibly, this is a very good way to get sympathy support.
I think you could be right but when you think about it, leading a military dictatorship is a strange career choice for anyone who likes sympathy, I don't think there is a chapter in Mein Kampf about it!

I wonder why they decided to search this guy's house three years after he evaded justice on another charge.

Re: Bangkok Post - where to buy not in central HH

I have not seen any BP's at any local 7/11's but if anybody knows which one that stocks it perhaps a mention on this thread will be useful for others. I live out in Hin Lek Fai and the 7/11 after Mon Mai market used to have a couple of copies everyday. I'm back next week and I'll have a look to see...

....and of course with the myth of global warming we don't need to know what the temp is, as hot is what they tell us it is.
Not anymore Pete, Trump just killed the NASA budget to study the climate!

They used to have them at those souvenir stalls to the left of the beach entrance by the Hilton but I haven't been that way recently, so I couldn't guarantee that you still can. I have one that my partner keeps propped by the door to deter unwanted visitors! Addiing to the post by Nereus, check the ...

Re: Global Warming 2

I think scientists are right (because I play the odds), but I am puzzled by why they can’t put together a convincing argument, whereas the skeptics can, and easily do. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Perhaps because they're scientists and not politicians corrupted by billions of dollars of fo...

Re: Pay 1% more in VAT, PM asks Thais

It's a bit like living in Trump land, the media diligently reports the words of the junta and then gets blamed for spreading fake news when people take them at face value instead of realizing that he was only speaking his thoughts. What does that imply about what he might have said if it wasn't what...

I believe there is a limit to what can and should be said in the press, freedom of the press is not a right, they are only providing information for each individual to process and make their own determination of what is right or wrong. It is Education that's makes one Free Freedom of the press is a...

Perhaps True still have 2G support. I know AIS and I think also DTAC no longer support it.
Yes, you're right! I've just looked this up and True acquired the rights to 2G coverage last year:
