Re: Poor choice of dashcams on Lazada!

There is a small shop on the top floor of Market Village that has dashcams, up on the left side going from the street with all the phone shops. I haven't a clue what brands they sell as I already have one, I just noticed they have them on display.

Re: Thai women second fattest in Asia

I think there are a couple of factors that haven't been taken into account, one is that before about 1990, poverty rates in rural areas of Thailand were very high and the other is that people living in poor rural communities in SE Asia have a very high rate of intestinal parasites. Both of these fac...

I don't think it helped that they tried to bring in the ban about a week before everyone wanted to get home for Songkran!

Re: Which Pick-Up Truck?

The selling point for me would be build quality and service... Definitely, I bought my Hilux in 2005 and it's just had a couple of batteries, new tyres and windscreen wiper blades, and servicing but nothing has actually failed on it. It hasn't done huge mileage but it's pretty impressive reliabilit...

Kind of weird to have a hospital logo on a smoking tent. I can imagine BHHH may not even know how it's being used.
I suppose smokers make good customers for a private hospital!

Re: Flight to Thailand bargains

I appreciate that this wont be much use for most people but I think we do have a few members from Germany on here, yesterday I booked a flight from Frankfurt to Bangkok on Emirates and they now give you a free DB rail ticket from anywhere in the country to and from the airport. I can hop over the bo...

Re: News of the Weird - this just in!

Not really a smart move. Shopper may be too drunk or too full to buy many groceries. :D It's proven that the best food shoppers are those who go into a store with an empty stomach. I've been guilty of that many times and came out with a higher grocery bill by a few thousand Baht. Pete :cheer...

Nothing - they do, just as they do with pretty much everything else traded on this planet.

I could imagine that the reason they're not displayed is more to do with some of the "influential people" involved with selling alcohol on the beach!

Re: Takiab Beach After Dark

Probably the only beach with decent parking in the area. We used to go to Cha-Am or Suan Son for the beach, but this gives us another option. As far as parking goes, the other option for me is the other side of Khao Takiap going on to Hua Hin Beach, there is loads of parking on the inside of the di...

Re: Takiab Beach After Dark

I generally walk that way before it gets dark but the new car park is great, I go there about four when the beach starts to get shaded and walk most of the way to Khao Tao and back, it's very pleasant.
