Re: Australian man dies in parasailing accident in Thailand

Was waiting for the know-it-all brigade to show up, surprised it took so long to be honest....just my opinion (which is still legal last time I looked) and it is vastly different to yours. I'm glad you disagree...and btw, if you believe this is a 'first time accident' on the beaches here...then you...

Re: Australian man dies in parasailing accident in Thailand

Getting back to topic, I wouldn't even think of doing anything so dangerous as para-sailing on a beach in Phuket or Pattaya, mainly because the operators are cowboy locals that are leeching off the tourists and have no training or license or sense......not to mention responsibility. Rent a jet-ski ...

Re: Australian man dies in parasailing accident in Thailand

Watched the video a few times. Upper harness is checked vigorously. But the most important part, leg straps are not checked. On the video it's difficult to see if the leg straps are fixed, but I cannot imagine how you can slip as upper harness (2 straps) pass under both arms. Maybe he opened his ar...

Speculations.....Nobody can say or have seen if this man unhooked accidentally his harness, it remains a possibility.

Re: Australian man dies in parasailing accident in Thailand

Thousands of tourists practice parasailing and accidents are rare. We still don't know if it was a safety problem or a mistake done by the victim. By the way every sport is dangerous.

Re: Thailand's dark side: why you really shouldn't visit Koh Tao

Anyway Koh Tao is in hands of 2 mafia families, you can read this in previous reports dated at the double murder.
Koh Samui is also a mafia island, all businesses have to bribe local authorities. Call them official or non official.

I agree for a boycott of this island due to what happened, but all deaths were not crimes.
How do you know that for sure, the island is obviously a cesspool!!
Have you even been there ???

Re: Koh Tao police to reopen death case of Belgian tourist

Thailand needs to start moving away from tourism, the Tourism Industry in Thailand just attracts too many crooks, scammers, scumbags and undesirables both foreign and domestic. And Thailand needs to stop constantly lying to themselves and get to work fixing the real problems and issues that exist h...

What was that political party that was banned, oh yes Thai Rak Thai (Thais Love Thais) and no one else, except for money.
What a joke: When this political party was created by Thaksin, I wanted to suggest a more realistic name: Thai Fck. Thai.

Re: Koh Tao police to reopen death case of Belgian tourist

Koh Tao as well Koh Phangan are places where young people enjoy with hard booze, drugs and stupid games as drinking as you can or cannot any more, jumping into a pool from your balcony, of course after having drunk a lot or eating some mushrooms or anything else. I believe that some farangs are vict...

And you're point is? Not quite sure whether your post is relevant to what I posted above. Can you enlighten me? Anyway, if you are so perturbed ~ I'm not ~ regarding Bintabat bar owners not benefiting from experimention why don't you do a survey? I'm sure they will just salivate over you and your p...
