Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?

They teach that if you pay them you will pass the test.

The Thai attitude can be summed up by the translation of the sound that a moving train makes; "It doesn't matter if we get there."

When your iron skillet gets encrusted, throw it in a bonfire, that burns off the crust. When it cools season it.

Re: Sportsmanship.

Everything evolves, even sports. Money is the game changer. When you make your living doing something you have to improve or someone comes along, they do anyway, and takes your living from you. Some are fortunate enough to carve out a niche and can keep competing, maybe not at the same level as befo...

Has it been tested? Any volunteers? Money back guarantee? The cost of 3D printer would be prohibitive. It sounds like suicide for the rich. At least if your Catholic you no longer will go to Hell, so that might be an incentive to save your money for a machine.

The main moment was gong into the Army at 18. I went to Korea and that opened my mind. After that I began an odyssey that took me to live in 8 countries and travel in 20.

It's probably the usual game. Invent new laws and restrictions then ignore enforcing them. That way everybody is happy and no one loses face. Hey, it worked in 1857 why not now in 1957?

Endless oppressive heat and humidity... :duck:

Re: Niece in UK wants to be expat - finding work in Thailand

She could do an internet search for the type of job(s) that she's interested in and list the countries that she'd like to go to. That would give her a start. There are many CV sites online that show you how to write a CV. Also, start asking friends for contacts. The more she puts out there the great...

Hi, can anyone suggest or recommend a jeweller who can resize (in this case reduce) a white gold ring? Thanks.
I had mine done at the jeweler on the corner of Soi 51 and Petchasem Rd. It didn't take long and they were very nice.
