i have been back to Canada in the winter when the temp was rarely above freezing for the whole 3 weeks. But In Canada, it is bone dry in the winter and where I was there was almost no wind. So with good layering of clothing I was fine indoors and out. Canadian kids love the winter--skating, sledding...

When I became less active I changed my diet--first only 2 meals a day--late b'fast at 10 or 11 and dinner at 6 pm--high protein, mod fat, low carb--lots of seafood and veggies.
