Re: B700m park to honour Thai kings in Hua Hin

A Thai friend who lived in the US for many years said to me---- Its our Mount Rushmore---- I did not know what to say----then she burst into laughter.

Re: Vasectomy anyone?

Sperm count is a little tricky--the sample must be fresh and kept at body temp until examined. You cant just walk intoa lab witha container full of semen and expect them to process it. The tech has to be on site--i doubt if walk-in labs can do it,you need a hospital lab-BUT your Dr should be able to...

Re: B700m park to honour Thai kings in Hua Hin

On my one visit I was amused-- a bus load of Chinese tourists came, got out of the bus, took photos with themselves in the foreground then back on the bus and away in less than 15 mins. Although to be fair I have seen European tourist "do" Medieval Cathedrals in about the same time.

Im from ON. Generally Thai and HH are not high on the list of retirement destinations for people who want to start businesses--there are multiple barriers to this.

Re: Smoking ban on Hua Hin and Thai beaches, jail time for offenders

I am a non-smoker and detest the smell. I only go to bars with an open air feel as the no smoking in bars is now being ignored BUT--I walk on the beach several times a week and on Mondays do my own little clean up of plasic bottles candy wrappers etc--Cig buts are not a problem.

Re: Thai ex-PM fails to show for verdict

Reminds me--a celebrity who wished peace and quiet was checking in at Claridge's hotel in London. He said to the manager--by the way, as for me staying here "hush" is the word--the manager replied--Sir, at "Claridges "Hush" is always the word.

Re: Road Closure Soi 88 Railway Crossing to Station

I was there today, road closed fora LONG time to allow a train to pass, then the gate lifted, what a cavalry charge, I wanted to go straight ahead up 88 but got swept araound to make an unwanted left turn, but did not feel threatened.

Re: Road Closure Soi 88 Railway Crossing to Station

Just a point about the roundabout at S88--it seems to be working better, still unruly by western standards but my journies through it recently have been smooth.

Re: Dates when no alcohol sold in Hua Hin

I can drink tonic water quite happily, but alas all bars closed, even for non-alcoholic drinks.
I think that the no-alcohol is not the main point--its that places of fun have to close.
