Re: New bike path on Highway 4

The signs I've seen definitely used to say no cars or motorcycles, and they even had traps in place to stop the motorcycles entering (not that a mere trap would stop a determined Thai). I must admit that I haven't looked for a few weeks. As you go towards Pranburi, there is a short track on the righ...

Re: Local transport plan for Hua Hin

Just driving back from Soi 156, I was thinking of this thread, and wondering, if they are serious about this proposal, why are they wasting all of that money converting the road to dual carriageway all the way into Hua Hin?

Re: New bike path on Highway 4

I've just taken my wife to the noodle shop at the end of Soi 156 (she reckons their noodles are spot on). I was sat with her for about an hour - in that time, rather than sit and watch her eat, I was watching the road and the cycle track beyond. In that time, I saw 1 bicycle and numerous motorcycles...

Re: DHL office Hua Hin

Yes, we were out a few weeks ago, when we received a phone call from DHL. I was just parking in Hua Hin Temple Car Park. Mrs BB told them where we were - item was delivered to us at the car park a few minutes later. That's what I call service above and beyond.

Re: Why aren't there bars like this in Hua Hin?

Can I say, I had a gun pulled on me in Miami because I was trying to pay for a round of drinks with a $100 bill. I think they thought the gun would make smaller denominations appear in my wallet. I wasn't told to leave, but I didn't feel inclined to stay either. A friend ended up paying for that rou...

Re: T-Shirt printing

There's a shop opposite the mini bus station on Soi 51 that will do it. Something like 51 Graphics. You might have to pay a slight premium for 0nly one of each.

Re: The Digital Surgery

No, my friend did the same - removed Betternet, and all was well. Any Betternet freebie users, please be aware - you could be next.

Re: The Digital Surgery

I think I've solved it. Betternet is not allowing access. Disable Betternet, and all is well.

I thought no problem, and re-enabled Hide My Ass - that won't work either
