Re: Thai travelling to Thailand on UK passport

That's 3 of us who have said she can travel on her expired passport to Thailand. If you still have doubts, a quick e-mail to the airline should confirm it.

Re: Passport problem

How long are you staying Dai? If it's less than 60 days, she should be fine with her English passport (with a visit to Immigration to extend once). Stay any longer, and she needs to avoid using her British passport without first obtaining a visa. Otherwise, she will have an entry, with no exit stamp...

Re: Passport problem

I'm fairly sure that if she is coming to Thailand, her expired Thai passport will be accepted.

Re: What's Happened To The Water in Hua Hin?

There has been a mobile chicane travelling the streets warning people that there is no water - in Thai, of course. I noticed the car wash in Market Village yesterday had 2 big water bowsers parked outside, and they were feeding directly into the car wash. No idea what's going on - I suppose I'd bett...

Re: Arrival to carousel time at BKK airport?

The taxi parked outside the bus station only charge 200 Baht, direct to your hotel. No hanging around, and saves having to find a taxi/tuk tuk for the rest of your journey, which will inevitably cost 150 Baht anyway..

Re: How much time do I need from arrival time to catch the VIP bus to Hua Hin?

I was thinking about travelling with the "Airport Hua Hin Bus", http://www.airporthuahinbus.com/V2/ Is this the best bus alternative? I want to book the bus in advance. Do you know if I can change the ticket if I come earlier or if I am delayed? There is a bus leaving at 13.30 or 15. Which one shou...

Re: Hua Hin Immigration Move to top of Soi 88

Now, I would have understood Pala-U Road.

Of the roads I know, Soi 88 is the closest. However, you are correct, it isn't Soi 88. but everybody I talk to, does say the one at the top of Soi 88. Does it matter? I'm sure it'll be well signposted once it has opened.

Re: Hua Hin Immigration Move to top of Soi 88

I think the key point is that most people know and understand Soi 88. I've lived here just about 6 years now, and travel local roads extensively. I wouldn't have had a clue if somebody directed me to Rural Road #1004, off of Road # 3218.
