BB, they BUILT a police box outside your residence because you pay? But it's not manned, correct?
Regular random visits throughout the day and night. They definitely come because our dogs hate them, and tell us every time they come.

Re: Tax Residency (bank requirements)

There were many questions on the form that I couldn't give a satisfactory answer to. I wrote a full explanation in a covering letter, and sent it to the UK. That was months ago, and I've heard nothing since. I guess I'm OK.

Re: Expat Lodge - boarding kennels

OK, there was no response to my enquiry. My friend contacted the lodge, and it was all sounding too goo to be true. She had been quoted >27K Baht for a 16 day stay for her dogs at her usual kennel in Mon Mai. Expat Lodge were asking for less than a third Including transportation to and from the Lodg...

Re: Police protection racket?

Is this a racket? I've been using the scheme for a few years, and have been well satisfied. It has always seemed legal and above board to me. We have had cause to use them about 5 times over the years, and they have been excellent. OK, sad that you have to pay to get this premium service, but we get...

:lach:

Looks for the even sillier emoticon.

Our Mr Fixit has just finished the installation. I picked up the fluorescent tube containers (thinking these look posh) and read them - I'd bought LED. I said I was getting old

I agree actually. Not long after I started the thread, the smell went, and hasn't returned for a while.

Re: Hua Hin City 2018

Chainat Utd 1 - 0 Hua Hin City Nothing apologetic about this. In leg 2, teams play to host leg 3. Playing at home costs more than playing away, which is basically bus fare. There is no way today's team was picked to win. It makes financial sense to lose all leg 2 games. Enough said. The club let th...

Re: Wire Mesh Fluorescent Light Guard

Hard on? I remember those :D No, I couldn't see anything that really fitted the bill in their LED range. In their fluorescent range, they didn't have wire mesh, but they had very strong protective fittings - some metallic, some made of very strong plastic compounds. Unfortunately, the best of the bu...
