Re: Need a pickup truck to carry motorbike and boxes to Krabi

In Hua Hin, the truck numbers are stuck on lampposts all over town. You probably see something like 4, 6, 8.10 (referring to the number of wheels) followed by a phone number to call. I've seen similar signs on lampposts in other towns, but can't remember if I've seen them in Krabi.

Re: Where my kids can get smimming lesson ?

I know they do swimming lessons at Sport Villa. I used to see one on one lessons by a Thai instructor all of the time.

I also know a very good Russian swimming instructor here in Hua Hin. If you would like more detail, PM me and I will try to put you in touch. I've no idea what he charges.

Re: Need a pickup truck to carry motorbike and boxes to Krabi

I think the first thing you need to do is clarify the direction you are travelling i.e. your header says 'to Krabi', but the body of the post states, 'to Hua Hin'.

I don't have details of a truck, but most people move motorcycles using Thai post - not expensive.

Re: Songkran 2017

I think we're all waiting for the answer to that one HHT. I've been posting Hua Hin updates as I see them, but everything is talking about traditional so far. However, I notice the Super Soakers are on sale

Methinks it'll only take a single salvo to start a war :D

Re: Songkran 2017

Bangkok update:

After conflicting reports over the last few days about whether or not Songkran celebrations were canceled on Khaosan Road, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has come forward to say that the festival will happen — albeit with lots of rules.

Re: The Beer Thread

Federbrau has been around for years, but Thaibev have changed the recipe and relaunched it. Some people don't seem to think much of it - https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/federbrau/99854/ My son treat me to a bottle yesterday - 42 Baht from 7-11. Please realise that the only beer I can drink here, sinc...

You mean you prefer the plastic football played by prima donnas, which you only watch from your armchair or bar stool? :run: Would be interested to know what WCAF means though. The best matches I can find are: Waterloo College Associate Faculties (Ontario, Canada) West Coast Art and Frame (trade sho...

Re: Freak motorcycle occurrence, or a regular happening?

Trying to re-capture your youth? OK, I said I wasn't a bike person. The rider and passenger did seem a little old to be on a Zoomer. :D Seriously, a similar shape to a Zoomer, but it had super-truck tyres (OK, maybe that bit wasn't serious) - they were totally out of proportion with the bike,...

Freak motorcycle occurrence, or a regular happening?

I saw something today that I've never seen in 30 years of Thailand. I'm just wondering if it's a freak occurrence, or it happens all of the time. I was going along the road earlier, following one of those hideous Zoomer bikes that u.13s seem to like to go crazy on. It was actually being ridden sensi...

Re: Hua Hin Beach Polo 2017

............and now the posters are appearing around town with no mention of admission or tickets/wrist bands. Yes, it's been cleared up on this forum, but as much as we'd like to think everybody reads the forum, they don't. So now, people who have walked along the beach to enjoy the fun in the past...

Re: Songkran 2017

Here's the Cicada flyer. My interpretation is 'traditional' not 'crazy'. However, it would be nice if one of the clever guys (Thai readers) can correct me if I'm wrong.
