I didn't see anybody else telling him he'd posted a duff link.

I don't need to try harder - I'm not the one trying to sell my car using unusable links.

Re: Alternative way to upload images to the forum.

I've mentioned it before. There's free software called FastStone Photo Resizer - very easy to use. I've been using it for years.

Re: Buying Paint

Just to close this one, the job was finished about 45 minutes ago. It took a little longer than expected due to unexpected interruptions, including 2 funerals. I am very pleased with the results (once I'd found the right paint). Would I do it again? Definitely not - Thailand is too hot for any type ...

If that's your best, I suggest you try harder :D

It's a closed group, so it doesn't even let me view anything. Unless one of the other 54 members want your car, you're stuffed.

Yes, but we know that many BIB don't understand the law. Activating a points system as well would be a step too far for many of them. Especially if it affects their tea money.

Re: Where can I buy a sewing machine?

My wife got quite a nice machine on Lazada, but you're right, the pages are inundated with those little beasties. Try searching on a particular brand such as Singer. I think that's how I got rid of the rubbish.

Chopper Bar is what I called Harley Bar. Are you saying that the entire bit is now Laila Food and Drink? The signage indicates 2 establishments, but there is also signage up for Dicks Office, which closed years ago.

dealerships will only take your old car in exchange if you're going to buy a new one from them. They usually have a secondhand dealer come in and value it beforehand, basically what model and year. I know this as my sister-in-law works in a dealership as a salesperson..

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

huahin4ever,

That is not unusual. Just take the tracking number to the Post Office, and they will take your money/hand over your goods. I'd say 90% of the time, my goods have been at the PO near the airport.

Hua Hin Flora Fest 2017

Please ignore the dates on the poster - it should run from 15 Dec 2017 until 7 Jan 2018.

I've seen photographs of the displays, and look quite impressive. All being well, I'll get down there in the next couple of days and will post a few photos if somebody doesn't beat me to it.

Re: Where can I buy a sewing machine?

I think most of the Singer shop machines are 2nd hand (reconditioned) machines. When we went in there, the guy running the place was very helpful (in a useful way - not like the brain dead staff in Home Pro). Many of the machines were quite large, heavy-duty machines, and not what we were looking fo...
