Re: Routine Eye Sight tests in Thailand

I have one complaint about Dr. Parirat. I've used reading glasses for computers since my early 40s. Last time I saw Parirat, I told him I wanted a prescription for both normal and reading glasses. He said what distance do you read at? Showed him between this (laptop hinge at knees) and this (arm ex...

Re: Melbourne woman drowns at Phuket beach after ignoring warning signs

That's what I thought, so the reference to Australians and the flags and colours was a bit of a red herring. Are we saying if they see a red flag only (or pink or orange) they wouldn't understand it? Flags or safety in general here in Thailand are scarce to say the least. Even if flags were standard...

Re: Melbourne woman drowns at Phuket beach after ignoring warning signs

Well picked up, yes, but what do Australians do if they can't see a Yellow flag?

I raised the question about flags a few years ago when doing my beach walks. Hardly any to be seen, and of those that I did see, most looked as though they had forgot to take them down.

Yes, it's drop in only as far as I know. I went last week - arrived at 09:30 and was the only one in there.

Re: Routine Eye Sight tests in Thailand

I can sort of relate to what you are saying Lomu. He is very thorough, and does pick up everything. He often looks on the dark side, but at the end of the day, he is saying I will need an operation eventually, but not for a few years. What he didn't know was that I'd been having regular check ups on...

Re: Routine Eye Sight tests in Thailand

Yes he's still in business, and doing a wonderful job on my eyes.

Don't really need a map, just come out of Market Village, turn right and he's just a couple of shops along.

Re: What Do You Feed Your Dog

She drinks a lot of water which I guess is a sign that the food doesn't give her enough moisture (obviously the climate plays a part too). Our rottweiler was like that. I took her to the vet querying diabetes, but it turned out to be 1st stage kidney failure. I'm not saying your dog has either, but...

Re: UK and Thailand to hold joint military excercise

That's going to be a logistical nightmare for UK forces, and very expensive. They must be hoping for a very big order out of it.

Re: What Do You Feed Your Dog

You should try it. You'll be dancing around like a 2 year old  Seriously, we have relatives just outside of Hull who breed dogs. They only use Pedigree products. If they ever think there's anything wrong with the dog food, they call the rep, and he will eat it himself to check. He used to rec...

That's the stuff Pete - I've never seen dogs enjoy their food so much.
