I've somehow managed to creep ahead again. One thing that is sure, that would never have happened under the old IKTS rules. I'd have blown a few bankers and been scoring negative points by this stage. This Superbru version is nowhere near as complex as the original IKTS.

Tax payment date

This card can be used to travel outside Kingdom
within 10 days from the date of tax payment

A bit of nostalgia. I've been to one of Mrs BB's old passports, and there are a couple of 1,000฿ tickets still stapled in there.

Oh really? Old age must be affecting the memory - I've completely forgotten the 500฿ tax.

Was the 500฿ 'everybody' tax before or after the 1,000฿ 'Thai' tax? I remember paying the Thai tax (1990), but not the everybody tax.

I don't remember that one, but I remember the 1,000฿ tariff for Thais leaving Thailand. I'd just given all of my remaining Baht to the Outlaws who had come to see us off. I was not too pleased.
