Even that was a surprise. I thought I was about to have a cataract operation, but I can still read to the bottom of the chart with both eyes :D

Re: Travel insurance - check the small print..

Yes, sounds similar to the deal I had with Natwest. We had cause to use NatWest Insurance a couple of times, and they were alway prompt payers. They even paid for me to come to Thailand to help my wife return to the UK - a free, all expenses holiday - can't be bad.

Re: Travel insurance - check the small print..

I've always said, don't read what is included in the policy, read the exceptions - they will tell you if your cover is adequate. I used to use NatWest's own insurance, but that was 6 years ago, They used to start with a basic 30 days, but were always willing to extend at not too great a cost. Might ...

Re: Hua Hin Immigration Move to top of Soi 88

Hopefully the move will negate the queues today. I've always praised immigration for their speed and efficiency. I went there today in the afternoon when it's usually quiet and there were more than a hundred people waiting. What happened? I left and will try again tomorrow. I have never seen the cr...

Yes, you are correct - one of the few I've been into. It will be corrected now, but won't be visible until the next issue.

Hua Hin High School. I consider them public, but I think they consider themselves private. She's at Uni now.

My granddaughter received motorcycle training at school, and she rides very well. However, she won't wear a helmet :banghead: nor does she have time to get a licence :? .

Re: Online Ordering - a sign of the times?

We've discussed Paypal several times - I can't open an account from Thailand. Warning bells are sounded when my bank is in the UK and I am in Thailand. Trying to use a Thai bank account for anything useful as a Farang just doesn't happen.

Re: Baggage at airports: Is that your bag sir?

The majority of Glaswegians are nice people - they can't help their accents. Yo be totally honest I seldom understand what they say. LOL, I used to go up there regularly to run training courses. Communication used to be fine between us until we stopped for a break. Once they were talking to each ot...
