Re: The History of Southeast Asia

The scene in A Now where they eat with the French family was edited out of the original version. Later they released a 'Directors cut, about 20+min longer with that scene in. It really improved the movie, gave it some perspective. Could you please expand on what you're saying please. I was baffled, ...

Saw this today, and thought it was appropriate.

Re: Looking for Water Holding Tank Cleaning Service

There was a company, new I think, dropping leaflets around Soi 94 a few weeks ago and they came with a Farang and a Thai lady and a Thai worker and cleaned neighbours tanks. I've thrown the leaflet away but if you don't get any replies I will ask my neighbours for their number when I see them. I re...

Re: How can Thailand curb its appalling road fatality rate?

Now in Thailand some on this forum suggest that the poor driving is because of the lack of law enforcement. Good point, well made. Guilty as charged :D Obviously stupidity, but there must be something more than that. Why do so many visitors come here, jump on a motorcycle and simply go crazy? Do th...

Re: Best "free" film/TV streaming sites?

Looks good - I'm living off a lot of downloads/Kodi at the moment, so I'm getting my fix. I've bookmarked the site for when that fails, thank you.

Re: Premier League 2017-2018

When you're going through a rough patch, every trophy counts, and to take 3 trophies in his first season (regardless of how the rest of the world sees them) is quite an achievement IMHO. It's made the Manure fans happy on social media - they seem to have replaced the screaming Spuds fans who are sti...

A lot more complex than I imagined from the original description.

Re: Looking for channel grate (flooding)

I would think (don't know until we see them) that you'd get a local metal shop to knock them up fairly cheaply.

Re: Premier League 2017-2018

I can see Manure being a force next season. 3 trophies this season with mainly inherited players, what will he do when he brings in his own players?

Re: Desford Colliery Band World Tour.....and Hua Hin!

I won't be around on Sunday for the full show, but I intend being there Saturday. If anybody spots me in the crowd, give me a shove. I'm not being rude, I have a facial recognition problem.

BG will know, I hope.

The ever changing borders of Thailand, regardless of name, was that down to wars?

Interesting map though, I was completely unaware of most of that, and I doubt many Thais are aware either.

Re: The History of Southeast Asia

Oh my Buddha and for years I've thought, I''m the only one on this forum interested in the history and the culture of the area. Plenty of things, I'd like to talk about but everytime I've started a thread on Thai culture or history, I've been beaten by threads like, where to find British mustard in...
