Re: Hua Hin golf course update

Thanks guys for taking the time to respond. I'll hopefully give both Springfield and Lakeview a shot on this trip.

Re: Hua Hin golf course update

Agreed, played Thanarat a few times in 2012/13 and it was a great place to play. Turned up there July last year and the fairways were atricious. Having said that, golf is what you make it and I've had some fun at The Dolphin Bay 9 hole course too. Just not the experience I'm after this time. Would p...

Hua Hin golf course update

Hi, I'd really appreciate it if someone could provide some feedback on the condition of any of these courses after playing within the past month: Majestic Creek Lake View Springfield Thanarat My understanding is that lack of rainfall has left some courses a little dry and barren in recent months. Wi...

Re: Fuel stabilizer

Thanks mate, I thought that might be the case. Rather than draining the tank, I might completely fill it to minimise oxygen getting in. Won't stop the fuel separation but might prevent oxidation of the tank.

Fuel stabilizer

With pretty much all gas stations now selling gasohol at the exclusion of benzine, this poses some problems for those of us who don't reside here permanently. The problem is that gasohol left in cars, scooters, lawnmowers etc while we're away for weeks or months will separate, absorb water and go ba...

Re: Resources for home schooling

WritingFun was a reasonable free online program however, I see it has now been bought by Spellodrome which is part of the subscription based Mathletics website. Interesting that Studyladder is free to schools and every child can have a free account with some limited home access. In an email from the...

Re: Tree lopping - recommendations?

Good idea. I tried one of the large tree nurseries on the highway south of Hua Hin but they weren't interested in the job. They pretty much said they doubted we would find anyone that would do it. We did pull over to ask an older gent about the lawn he was selling on the side of the road. He said if...

Re: Resources for home schooling

Our school back in Australia has been registered with Mathletics for several years and has proven to be quite useful. This year our school will be trialling Studyladder which apparently has many similar resources. I would also recommend the Reading Eggs program which is excellent. Does anyone think ...

Tree lopping - recommendations?

I've had enough of the trees in our back yard making a mess of the pool every time the wind blows. They're now at a height that is beyond what our gardener can handle on his own so I'm after a "professional" tree lopping service or at least someone equipped with the right gear for the job....
