Re: Sharpening stone?

I have a number of kitchen knives that I'd like to have sharpened. Does anyone know of a shop where I can take them to have them professionally sharpened ?

Re: Pressure gauges

I would try shopping online, either lazada.com or aliexpress.com, or a regular Google search.

Re: Looking for Peter and Paula Merz

I am also trying to get into contact with Peter. He is listed prominently in a recent newspaper article published about being adversely impacted by Party Houses opening up next door, and the unbearable noise it creates. I have a similar situation at my house and I'd like to discuss with Peter so see...

Re: Commercial Party Houses Operating in Residential Developments

I wanted to give an update on our situation that started this thread. After many tries I was finally able to get a police report documenting the late night noise disturbance. Unfortunately the owner didn’t use it to cancel the lease with the people running the party house. The owner became argumenta...

Re: Air con operating manual

I had the same issue with my new Daikin aircon, online manual only available in Thai. I emailed them asking for an English version. My email was passed from Customer Service department to their Enginnering department where it was passed between a couple engineers. Within 2 days one of the engineers ...

Re: Road Closure Soi 88 Railway Crossing to Station

If it works as well as the one at the mouth of soi 112 it will be a big improvement. The main problem I see at Soi 112 is the traffic coming down Soi 112 from the west think they have the right-of-way when in reality they have a Stop Sign, which is way off to the side so most simply ignore it and ch...

Re: Power fluctuations - electric supply

I don't know the answer to your question but the first thing I would check is the size of the electric wiring to your air conditioner. My experience is that even professional aircon installers take shortcuts and try to either reuse or install wiring that is too small per the manufacturers minimum re...

Re: Email provider

For many people, this is actually a two or three part decision process. 1). Which email provider to choose (gmail, yahoo, Microsoft, iCloud, etc, etc) 2). How to access, read and manage your email once you choose and setup an account with a provider. 3). Decision to go with the providers free offeri...

Re: Doing 90 day and annual retirement extension at the same time

Immigration advised me I could process my annual extension 45 days before the due date, I did not test the 45 day window as I renewed my extension about 15 days before my due date. Separately, my parents were also advised they could renew 45 days prior to due date.

Re: Maximum ATM withdrawal and lowest fee

Yesterday, for the first time ever, my ATM fee was 220 bt. This was at a green Kasikornbank ATM. I suspect all the other banks will shortly be charging 220 bt, if they aren't already. Luckily, the card I use is with a USA investment firm that reimburses the ATM fee back into my account within a coup...

Re: Maximum ATM withdrawal and lowest fee

My experience is they all charge 200 bt fee now. I suggest you consider taking your card to the counter inside the bank, process the withdrawal with the teller, instead of the machine outside. I'm positive you can withdraw much more each time working with the person at the counter than you can at th...
