Re: The Digital Surgery

Barrys do let us know how you get on with the shop guy.I hope you can replicate the fault while he's there, sometimes these things seem to deliberately disappear when you're trying to show someone. :) Surprising that they send someone to your home, in other countries I've lived in it's 'bring it to...

Re: The Rugby Thread

Magnificent first half from New Zealand - one of the best halves I've ever seen - I don't think the All Blacks made a mistake, scoring 6 tries before the break. The second half was all about saving face for Oz.

Re: Which Magic Box for TV streaming

These boxes are "Android" devices and therefore only run Android-compatible apps. Some of the TV streaming apps, like Mobdro, are only released in the Android format. However, you can run them on a PC by installing an Android emulator like Bluestacks. You can then use all your Android apps on your c...

Re: The Digital Surgery

I'm running a brand new PC with an i7 processor and 16 GM RAM. OS is Windows 10 pro. I'm getting just about daily Blue Screen errors, mostly with the message "Memory Management" or sometimes with "Critical Structure Corruption". I've tried googling this but there are so many different explanations o...

Re: Iptv in hua hin

Hi Barry Catchup is by programme log. Really easy to follow. Sorry but the trial used to be three days, Ive used it for over three years now. Sometimes like all IPTV providers it has freezes but these are few and far between. Watch all the football from sky on this. ITV and BBC are not perfect on t...

Re: Can I buy strong bread flour here?

I make a lot of bread at home, with and without a bread maker, and have found that, by keeping the bread in an air-tight plastic box in the fridge, it will keep for a good week or so.

Re: Which Golf courses are recommended to play on the way from Hua Hin to Kanchanaburi?

Near Kanchanaburi, you can try Blue Sapphire or Evergreen. Both good courses - at least a few years ago the last time I was there. For something really different, try the Srinagarind course in the Erawan National Park - absolutely spectacular views and a tough course, publicly owned so very reasonab...

Re: Longer-term Thai visa for a Cambodian national

I'm pretty sure that you're only allowed 2x 30 day visa exempt stamps in a year now at land border crossings. Of course, your friend would have been getting the 30 day stamp by entering Thailand even though he was going straight back to Cambodia. So, those who have been using Thailand as an entry/e...

Re: longer-term Thai visa for a Cambodian national

This is sort of related - but please feel free to move elsewhere if appropriate. This is a real head-scratcher - you really do have to wonder what the Thai authorities are up to :banghead: A Dutch friend of mine wanted to do a visa run from Cambodia to Thailand last week so as to get a fresh 30-day ...
