Re: Nescafe

If it's "original" how can it be a new formula? Conversely, if it's a new formula how can it be "original"?

"Just go ahead and submit the application." I look forward to the first report from one of the forum members. Please form an orderly queue. :)

Re: Police corruption, drug tested in Hua Hin

I don't think the "police" fall within the purview of the Department of Business Development. But the idea does appeal somewhat.

Re: Birds of Thailand

Thank you VS. I'd never seen one either. My wife said she thought it was a strangely coloured sparrow when she saw it (or its mate) among a flock of sparrows feeding in the garden.

Re: RE: Re: New immigration form (TM6) goes into effect in October

I'm sure the TM 6 was never a requirement for Thais but then again the TM6 cannot be the cause of the delays. Thais fill out the departure section of the TM6 card to leave Thailand they don't need to fill out the TM6 card on arrival. It's 4 years since we traveled but my wife (Thai) and I (PR) had ...

Re: Govt: hellish airport immigration queues must end

^^ I don't think the problem is having separate channels for nationals and foreigners, which is quite normal at international airports. In my opinion it is the sheer bloody-minded attitude of some senior officials who can't, or won't, use initiative to use spare capacity at special channels (Thai, d...

Re: RE: Re: Govt: hellish airport immigration queues must end

in some countries, Malaysia for one, the locals have a card that they enter into a machine and they are thru in seconds. Passports are so old-fashioned. What if when you got a visa from a consulate abroad it was a card that you could enter into a machine. IIRC when the currently in use Thai ID card...

Re: Junta plans to regulate internet video streaming

I think the junta can get away with bullying a relatively few people, especially in the political sphere. But it may be a different story when screwing with the daily lives of the masses. For example the pick-up passenger fiasco. They could block Facebook instantly if they wanted to (and they tried ...

Also, how frequent the trains are. Every hour or so might be ok. Two or three times a day might be a bit inconvenient.
