Possibly 3 or less if and the IP address should be a clue. You could be on target if pseudonyms are considered.

Re: Hua Hin - Pattaya ferry project news and updates

I've paid for a fast freight service from Bangkok, as I'm sure many others have. Why not a fast freight service to and from Pattaya? I have to agree with you. Being able to order goods from Pattaya and have them collectable same or next day would be a great opportunity and money maker for the servi...

Re: Tourism Ministry pitches durian Kit Kat to Nestlé

It's good to see that the ministry of silly ideas is still being productive.

Allegedly, the Durian Kit-Kat narrowly won the vote of approval over the range of Durian soaps and deodorants that were to be marketed under the marketing slogan of "The smell of Thailand"! :rasta:

Re: Staying safe on your computer in Thailand

But how would you know security is good? Yahoo, LinkedIn, and countless other sites where considered good until they were hacked. A very valid question. To be honest I don't know how secure any online banking system is. I can only say that in 17 years I have not faced an issue. On a slightly differ...

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

^^ agree 100%. As I travel frequently I always keep a stock of pre-completed forms for arrival and departure. Only the flight number needs to be completed. So many times I am held up in a queue because either someone has not bothered to complete the form or doesn't read Thai or English and can not. ...

Re: Staying safe on your computer in Thailand

^^ I use Bangkok Bank on-line banking and although the it is limited as to what you can do it has worked well for me. As I have a WP I can also repatriate a limited amount of funds to my UK bank. So far no issue and I even get an email and message to tell me that someone has logged on to my account....

Re: Road Widening 'Phetkasem'

^ that would be my take as well. Off topic: There was a heck of an accident further south on that road this morning. Closer to the cement plant. One of those water delivery lorries and a full size pick'em up went head on. A motorcycle got involved in there as well. Two dead and injuries to others -...

There are also a good number of ceramic factories and shops selling locally produced ceramics in Ratchaburi. It might be worth searching for something there.

Re: The journey to a Yellow Book in Hua Hin

^ thanks, I had not considered that I am only permitted one yellow book. The process could be simpler with my original BKK yellow book in hand but.... on the other hand it could be a lot more complicated. I'll check out the process first.

Re: The journey to a Yellow Book in Hua Hin

I already have a yellow book for my BKK condo but now, nearing retirement, will go for a yellow book for my home in HH. A huge thanks to BB for guiding the way. There is of course no guarantee that the process remains the same or is viewd differently by a different officer as Buksida points out. Inc...

Re: Why do so many Thais look down on tourist / foreigners?

It's always interesting when the OP dissapears and does not respond to replies. For my 10c worth I don't believe that the vast majority of Thais look down on tourists or foreigners for that matter. Like many of the other posters I have many Thai friends and colleagues and find their friendship comes...

Re: Electric hot water tank (boiler)

I have 4 Stiebel Eltron water heaters in my apartment in BKK that are now 12 years old and work perfectly. I have another 4 more modern Stiebel units in my home in HH and they also have been trouble free for over 6 years. I can thoroughly recommend them although they are more pricy than most of the ...
