Re: Bye-bye Red-Bar & Tina Bar..

The odd thing is that Tourists want something to drink and the normal way is to do that in a bar. If prices go up too much you go somewhere else and the income for the bar owner drops. If bar owners have to pay key money or too high rent or lease they can't get profit and without profit they'll have...

Re: UK motorbike driving license in Thailand?

Hi,

I would say it's not enough. You will have to get an international licence (valid for Thailand). Insurance is another matter though.

Re: Golf Memberships Available

Springfield lifetime used to be far more expensive but as transfer fee seems to go up you never know the end of that price as they now only get the annual fee in compared to early days when they sold out life time membership. Palm Hills, seems to be some problems with the new owner about yearly cost...

Re: New French Bar - Poonsuk Road

I visited this bar a few times during my winter break, really worth the money to start with a good glas of wine before you go for dinner and perhaps a few beers after. Hope it's still there next time I arrive. Air con and all the rest was more class compared to other bars, can't say more than I reco...

Re: Bye-bye Red-Bar & Tina Bar..

Just a one that stays a month or so during winter break but without having all your knowledge about Binta I feel that some competion as from soi 80 is not too bad as land lords then (at Binta) might feel that they can not act totally without respect for customers and their needs!! I felt when I was ...

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip

I played Sea Pine two weeks ago and it's in good condition but the four of us who played all felt it was a bit booring this time compared to how we felt last year. But still a good course. Only negative thing is that they don't provide shops around the course with anything to eat and if you play dur...

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip

Sea Pines is certainly a better course than Palm Hills. While Palm Hills is an easy layout, the greens are verging on impossible with way too much slope. The membership at Sea Pines doesn't give you free green fee - just a good discount. Mind you I haven't played it in a long time so others will kn...

Re: Palm Hills after 3pm promotion

Hi,

We played there a couple of times two weeks ago but we only used the even cheaper option (760 incl caddie) for nine holes. No stress to run around in order to get in before six a clock, but yes the option is still there.

Regards

Re: [ADVERTORIAL] Souay Vista Social Club

Hi, Live at soi 94 (just off the gym) a month during winter time and have never heard of this club. It should be just 100 meters after the right turn at the "end" of 94 as I had a quick lock at the map. Anything happening at the moment? Will be down within a month and need to check this up...

Re: New Tesco Express Soi 88 ish

Same here (about competition) as you do not need the full monty everytime and could spare the parking mess down at the MV. That other shop just off the corner of soi 88 (up the road) has also something to offer I remember from last year

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip

Regarding Springfield I believe you paid 1750 plus 250 as a guest to a member. Never heard of reduced greenfee only for taking c course. We are sometimes guided to that course and same same price. The bad thing though is that tee off time is normally mid day as you are diverted to the a course norma...

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip

Thanks a lot for an update on this. Wrote a long reply but had some errors to post it so I stay a bit shorter this time. Greenfee is getting a problem even for mee as a regular visitor every year, bearing in mind what it cost me for travel etc and as said above compared to prices in Sweden. I aggree...
