Re: RE: Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc

I went down immigration in Bluport last week, and asked about retirement extension and they told me 45 days before was ok (only in the main place - not bluport). Which is great as I can do it this month before immigration gets jammed with tourists in January. I think last year was only 30 days befo...

Re: New demands from Hua Hin immigration for marriage extension

The first time I did an extension based on marriage they asked for a witness. That was 3 years ago in HH my wife and I had been married 12 years at the time and have two children together. I think its a random thing based on which officer you get. Of course the second time we gave them a small dona...

Re: New demands from Hua Hin immigration for marriage extension

I don't think this is cooked up by HH immigration. As far as I know, visa and extensions based upon marriage are ultimately controlled by Bangkok. So I guess HH immigration are just doing as they've been told. I may be wrong. I'm well aware of that Bangkok has the ultimate decision on marriage visa...

New demands from Hua Hin immigration for marriage extension

Here's something new which I couldn't find on any web page. I did my 1 year extension this week, Non-Immigrant based on marriage since I'm under 50 years old. I have done this 8 times now, every year the same more or less, but this year I had to provide a witness person! Very strange indeed. Me and ...

But Ogen is popular and they are in the same spot Subway had in that complex.

Re: Large demonstrations going on in Bangkok now!!!

According to my friend demonstrations are on going now. He is too scared to post anything on FB. He says it's like they are trying to keep it quiet hoping it will not escalate, but according to him the army is mobilizing. This could get ugly. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens, and ev...

[Unconfirmed] Large demonstrations going on in Bangkok

Only Thai so far, but I guess English/International news will be available soon. Some says as many as 200.000 are already gathered and more are coming in. Trains and busses are shut down they say. https://www.matichon.co.th/news/836764 https://www.facebook.com/kambee.matra/posts/378382105962833 [Adm...

Re: Large marine pipes washed up on Chumphon beach

That is no pipe at all. It is an offloading hose for crude oil made of rubber. Similar to the one we have, but our is on a reel. the one washed up on the beach here was probably floating which is quite normal, and came loose. Hose disconnection.jpg Hose disconnection1.jpg New Hose connection2.jpg

Re: Smoking ex-pats

I understand both sides. I was a smoker, but am now a quitter, or an recovering nicotine addict. For me personally quitting has had a tremendous positive effects. For others it may not have such effects. My wife still smokes and it doesn't bother me too much, so I am not criticizing those that still...

Re: Buying a SUV?

Finally they are making this kind of chip for the Pajero Sport! I had the old type from the same company in my Toyota Fortuner and it was well worth it. No I'm excited to try this new type. This one gives more hp and torque increase than the old type I had on my Fortuner. It is like driving a new ca...
